ACADEMICS

Our academic program is anchored by scientifically based curricula and pedagogy. We employ the gradual release of responsibility model, which is proven to create independent learners over time. Our faculty have the support of their peers, the leadership team, and dedicated Instructional Coaches who work closely with each other to foster a culture of reflection and growth.

Ongoing assessment and progress monitoring allows Pinnacle teachers and staff to create programs adapted to meet the academic, social and emotional needs of every student. Small class sizes allow students to create lasting and impactful relationships with staff and students alike. The whole-child approach to education at Pinnacle allows students to grow and flourish academically, while developing the dispositions of resilience, growth mindset, and confidence that will help to ensure future success.

The Pinnacle School is accredited by New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and follows the Connecticut State Department of Education academic and credit requirements across all grades and subject areas.
